This photo is my mom's glamor shot, age 18, taken in 1945.

When she was 20 she married Gene Bergstrom whom she met at her job at Bergermeister Beer Company in Oakland. They had Larry in 1950 and divorced the same year.

In 1953 she met and married Don Kunze - a Lieutenant in the Navy - in San Francisco. They eloped in Monterey, Mexico. Her mother, Thelma, didn't think that was legitimate, so they had it officiated again in San Francisco. Don was transferred to Brooklyn Navy Yard. In 1954 he became a civilian and they moved to Sunnyvale, California. Donna, Sandy and Mindy were born at a San Jose hospital.
